Today, students read independently. Absent students should get their absence excused for the bell-ringer to be exempted.
Then, students finished updating their short stories; they are due today. Students should focus on making sure these stories are not just summaries of what happens but detailed stories that are developed and robust. Students were reminded to check out the rubric that’s included on Monday’s assignment, since that will be what is used to grade the essays after they are submitted.
Students should expect to conference with Mrs. Evans next week about these short stories.
