Students began working on the Southern Gothic Evaluation in Google Classroom, a graphic organizer that will help them mentally plan for a gateway essay that is coming up. Students may choose to work with a partner or alone on the graphic organizer but the essay will still be independent.

Then, we discussed what southern gothic literature is and looked for characteristics of southern gothic literature in “A Rose for Emily.” Students also completed a short activity about Flannery O’Connor in Google Classroom; it is due tomorrow.
