Today was the first day of Mrs. Evans’ leave and a sub or other teacher covered the class.
Students completed the assignment posted in Google Classroom; it is due today.
Students also read independently when finished.
2.3 | Outtie 5000
Today, students read independently. Absent students should get their absence excused for the bell-ringer to be exempted.
Then, Mrs. Evans talked to students about what to expect over the next 2 or more weeks in class. The following details were discussed:
- Mrs. Evans will be out starting tomorrow for what looks like 2 weeks due to a sorta-pre-planned medical issue.
- Every day, students will have short assignments based on the story we just read in class. They will be posted in Google Classroom every morning and if students focus on their work during the beginning of class, they should be finished before class is over.
- There will be various teachers covering class, probably, but every day’s assignments will post every morning at 8am no matter who is covering or subbing for me.
- After 2 weeks, the activity types may change if Mrs. Evans needs to be out longer.

If a class didn’t finish reading “Harrison Bergeron,” we finished today. Students then completed the comprehension quiz found in Google Classroom, due today.
