Today, students went to the library to check out fiction books; students should expect to read every day in class and should try to get enough books to read for the next 3 to 4 weeks.
Then, students read independently.
Students used the rest of class time to work on this week’s Achieve 3000 activity: Mixed Practice: Citing Evidence. It is due Friday.
Today, students explored Achieve 3000 with Mrs. Evans. Students were required to complete the Text Structure: Compare and Contrast assignment. Some students will have to take a level-set quiz in order to begin this assignment; they should complete this to their best ability so their assignments are appropriate for them in the future.
Today, we began the second semester of the year.
We began by reviewing classroom expectations; students agreed to the classroom expectations. The biggest change from last semester is that late work may only be submitted up to 2 weeks late. The syllabus should also have been emailed home to primary contacts through Infinite Campus.
Students completed a required survey in Google Classroom, due by the end of the day today.
