Then, we rewatched the spoken word poem from last week called “To This Day” and used the graphic organizer from the Google Classroom to begin evaluating the poem and its performance. We will finish this tomorrow.

Then, students continued working on their Spoken Word Poetry Notes, due tomorrow. Students should also remember that they will have an Achieve 3000 due tomorrow, as well, and are encouraged to plan accordingly.

Today, students read independently. Absent students should get their absence excused for the bell-ringer to be exempted.
Then, students viewed the Spoken Word Poem, “To This Day” and we discussed the plan for the remainder of the year. Students began taking notes over spoken word poetry, which are due Friday. There will also be an Achieve 3000 on Friday.

Today, students went to the library to check out new books. This will be our last trip to check out books for the year; students should get enough to read for the next few weeks of reading and we’ll return books the last week of the year.
Then, students completed the Vocabulary 1 Activity, found in Google Classroom. This is due today and will close after today.
